GOV. PAT MCCRORY JUMPED ON THE CAROLINA PANTHERS BANDWAGON IN THE FIRST TV AD OF HIS RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN. THE PAT MCCRORY COMMITTEE
Gov. Pat McCrory jumped on the Carolina Panthers bandwagon in the first TV ad of his re-election campaign.
The ad, released Friday, shows the Republican governor touting the accomplishments of his “Carolina Comeback.”
The ad cuts to McCrory standing in front of a house, holding a football.
“There’s still work to do,” he says. “But we have a ‘Carolina Comeback’ for sure. We just don’t always get the respect we’ve earned. Well, there is one solution. Keep Pounding, Panthers! And have a Super day!”
McCrory plans to attend Super Bowl 50 in California.
Democratic Party spokesman Ford Porter said McCrory’s ad is “glossing over the many failures of his administration and attempting to tie his flailing campaign to the Carolina Panthers Super Bowl season.”
